Bio/CV

Sarah Davis (b. 1997) is an artist and photographer who lives and works in Auckland, New Zealand. Her practice utilises photography and moving image to reveal the unseen and the overlooked.

Sarah is interested in ideas surrounding liminality, landscape and ecology, and the way lens based media can be utilised in exploring these themes. Concepts explored in science fiction and ideas surrounding the environment are influential to her general practice.

Her current research practice is an exploration of ideas surrounding the perception of land as landscape in Aotearoa, with a particular interest in the constructed landscape image and notions of the picturesque.
